  • That kinda day when you really want to wear something but weather doesn’t permit. A new style post up on the site today (and a sneak peek at the kids’ room). And a big thank you to all of you who participated in my survey. ❤️ (link to post is in my profile)
  • We walked for 30 minutes after dinner, eating gelato and tracing the moon. We held hands, made a wish and played Simon Says. It was dark and in-between dancing, talking and laughing, I kept having this thought that I get quite often these days, “I can’t believe I’m in charge of protecting them.” When things shift the weight of responsibility of these two (especially now that they’re big kids) feels heavy. It comes in waves. Like, on a boardwalk in the pitch black under the moon listening to the wind whistle a bit. Or when I’m busy texting about things or thinking how to juggle it with them. I knew this all before-the weight of protecting them. But honestly the last few years as they’ve grown and so have I, this has become all the more clear. All the more true. All the more complex and simple. And yes, all the more massive. While simultaneously not being burdensome. Protect them, whether Brooklyn or Miami. Here’s to the Super Snow Moon and letting go, keeping hope, protecting what is gold and good and the transformation ahead. Wrote some intentions tonight. You?
  • It’s mid February but I’m just catching up with 2019! It’s just how it happens. To help us navigate the year ahead on the blog, we created a little survey. If you don’t mind, can you hop on over and answer a few questions (anonymously)? It’ll take about a minute. xo L (ph: @_amandapetersen)
