On Monday the kids start their school year. River begins firth grade. Oak will begin second grade. It is their last year in school together, and this weekend is time for celebrating and a bit of nostalgia. I am finishing edits and listening to the stories past 9/11 on NPR. I’m also finishing my book at cafes with coffee and loud New Yorkers, it’s been strange comfort. The sun is out, and I’m wanting to learn more. And rest more. And hold the kids a little closer, too. Off we go!
Here’s what inspired me this week:
What does sustainability mean in the Bronx?
My favorite candle for cooler nights (also updated in the shop)
6 Week Pregnant? What does it feel like? What does it look like? I can share.
Drew Barrymore’s kitchen reminds me of the design plans for The Mae House. It’s a sign!
I bought a pair of Saucony sneakers when I purchased the kids back-to-schook sneakers. I would only wear Saucony’s in 5th and 6th grade. Lots of nostalgia this weekend for sure.
Holding space for everyone, everywhere, this weekend.
