Friday’s Inspiration: Music On The Mind

How are you feeling? It’s raining and the weather calls for rain tomorrow, so plenty of writing and taking it easy is the plan. The kids are finding joy in fortune tellers and pop-its and I’m hoping to start watching Modern Love this weekend. I’ve been feeling a bit in the weeds this week, as I am sure many are lately. I’m going to spend the next few days listening to music and dancing when I can. Maybe, I’ll keep sharing it to instagram stories! In the meantime, here’s to connecting online and in our bodies.

Here’s what inspired me this week:

Something to listen to: One In A Million, nearly 20 years after Aaliyah’s passing. 90s babies like me mourn, dance, cry, and celebrate the opportunity.

“…there was a whole world before the violence came. Our home in Kabul, to my mind, was the best place a girl could hope to grow up. The house itself was small – a few rooms and a kitchen – and on the outside, yellow paint faded and peeled with every passing year.” via Erin
