How was your week? We are collecting cards and passing out gifts to our lovely teachers as a summer so long. The nights are the perfect kind; breezy with moist air. I am eating salty pretzels by the numbers and watermelon by the arms full. We are celebrating a very special 7-year-old this weekend, too. What a joy it will be to look back on all the magical spins with him.
I really want to say Thank You! Thank you for your love, support and endless kindness on this journey and the many that came before it. I can’t wait to share more of the renovation process here with you. If you’re signed up for With Love, L, you’ll get a letter from me Monday morning. In the meantime, here’s what inspired me this week:
Geoffrey Holder and his history with dance.
The Importance Of Black-Owned Clothing Stores
A reading list for kids for Juneteenth
and what a push to celebrate it federally may conceal
and
Something I can’t stop dancing to… Have fun again!
Something I can’t stop watching: Baldwin, 1979
Something I can’t stop imagining in The Mae House
Have a beautiful one!
