Friday’s Inspiration: A Snowy Day

We did school that morning and didn’t think much of the rest. We used the purple plastic sled that was already buried deep under the snow within a few minutes. The night before, we read The Snowy Day as the snow fell past our window. And I put my feet up with a glass of wine, and lit a candle on the fireplace, for peak coziness. This week, I’ve been inspired by the windows of joy and hope in 30 second videos, dancing children, cozy sweaters, advent activities, and of course, days and nights like our very own snowy day.

Here’s what else:

The Brooklyn Public Library reading bedtime stories and poetry for the entire family. Call 718 230-2283.

A Care Package for Uncertain Times A collection of podcasts, poetry, meditations and reflection for however you’re processing this moment.

Black Joy in Residencies Upstate!! Magic.

Evicted during the pandemic and Yolanda’s powerful story sounded all too familiar. You can help her right here.

I have not been able to get over this look book! Its just stunning. The tone, the beauty, the photography.

JOIN ME IN A PRIMAL SCREAM! Let it out.

Moon river, in my room at night, by light.

Laughing until I cry, always. And I think I’ll need to write about it too.

Rooms that let you dream a little, ya know?

Anything inspired you this week? Have a great weekend!
