Happy Fall! How are you feeling about it?
Now that summer has officially ended, I’ve been thinking about the book that our family has read everywhere through spring, summer, and even preparing to truck along during autumn.
When the pandemic began, Mo Willems took to his art to keep our children (and us) company. And during the spring, his book, Waiting Is Not Easy (which was originally suggested by O’s teacher to help him with reading), became salve during slow days and slow evenings. And while reading is a train we will always be on, this book’s worth multiplies, as months long of waiting will likely be a year’s.
Of course this book is a reminder to the kids, but as we began our school year today, reading it tonight was a reminder for me as well.
Any books of your own? I’d love to hear.
