Have you watched Frozen 2 with your kids yet? During one of the first weeks of staying at home, we cuddled on the couch for yet another night of movie watching. On that particular night, the kids’ chose Frozen 2, and while I’ve watched it once before with them, the powerful message within the lyrics of many of the songs were so very clear.
Of course, when it first came out and they watched it in theaters, one of its key points of celebration was its positivity and powerful messaging. But as we enter month two (and listen to the album at least once a day), I can’t stop paying attention to the words (and how many times O sings the lyrics). I know that the kids and I will hold the words well past this particular season.
The songs that stand out to me are Some Things Never Change , Show Yourself, and The Next Right Thing.
Have you watched the movie or listened to the album recently with your kiddos? I can’t suggest it enough!
Love Frozen II! The Next Right Thing makes me cry every time I hear it, so moving! Pushing through, even without hope ðŸ˜
YES!! It makes me so emotional! (as does everything else!).
I love the kids connecting to it in their own way.

Oh LaTonya, I’m so happy not to drive to work because alas I don’t have to listen to Frozen 2 daily. To and from work. My daughter loves Into The Unknown and my son likes Things will all make sense when I am older. I like Somethings Never Change too! My kids never ever get tired of this album. We saw the movie at Alamo which was fun.
Haha I can imagine! I didn’t listen to it much before all of this— they just had a few songs mixed into playlists. Now i’m like… okay… we’re doing it. But I’m sure by summer I’ll be begging for them to choose something else!
haha
Aw! I do not have kids, but I do have a very good friend who absolutely adores Frozen. Seen the new one in theatres and out several times, knows all the words to both movies by heart, owns an Elsa sweater. We’re secretly planning a surprise Frozen birthday for next year! He’s a 20-something carpenter who just unabashedly loves Frozen, right along with his sports and other typically male-coded things. Nicest guy I know. There’s something pretty lovely about a movie series that inspires that, for kids and adults.
