A few months back, the kids and I modeled for Madewell’s spring campaign. The photos were published last week and can be seen on Madewell’s instagram, website, and various billboards and ads. It’s never a light decision when we consider whether I will include the kids in things. It always takes a lot of thinking and talking as a family. But ultimately, I couldn’t be happier with the way that this turned out, and the kids love it too.
Madewell came over and captured us in the early morning quickly, as we are. It was funny, playfully, messy and of course, we were late. That is is my everyday as a parent of these two kiddos.

The photos share a story while lacking in words, and maybe that is what I am most proud of. My hair is wrapped, my skin is bright and brown, my curves are out, the kids are wild, and it is a documentation of my steps behind and always forward. It is the journey many of us are on. I’m looking forward to this year in particular, one in which I can see the landscape continue to shift for companies and consumers.
