What Are You Wearing This Holiday Season?

So here’s the thing, you won’t catch me dead in a mini dress this holiday season. Back out, legs bare, all fine and nice, until someone gets cold. That someone is usually me. Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea. I love owning a body that belongs to myself in whatever way I’d like to own it, baggy pants and mini dresses etc. But this winter in particular, I’m aching to layer. Even when I wore a long dress for Thanksgiving, I had leggings placed to the side to wear under, in lieu of tights. It’s just that mood I am in. So when it comes to Christmas, I am leaning on festive jumpers that can be layered and styled up.I’ve been tied to Ace & Jig jumpers since I gave birth to Oak, and needed the stylish and comfortable ease. It didn’t matter if I was baby wearing and sweating, or letting down milk on the subway platform trying to feed my hungry babe, they had my back. A way, I still cherish as my children are now (almost) eight and a hearty four.

I loved the Stella Jumper with this red turtleneck, with the pop of my favorite boots (second year in a row). I needed to cover my ears, so I wore a wrap scarf, which I initially thought would throw it off. As it turned out, I liked the oddness of the look even more.

What are you wearing to all of your festivities this year?

Winter time in Berlin, it’s all about layering – particularly with wool. I have a few basics I play around with each year: a long wool turtleneck dress, a wool cardigan, and a few select ugly Christmas sweaters. I love my ugly Christmas sweaters most of all.

I love how you’ve layered the jumper. The pop of red with the head wrap — and those boots!!
