Some of my favorite things are unique or custom pieces that hold a lot of meaning. A few years ago, I started to wear my rings that had River and Oak’s names on them. The rings helped me transition my fingers without feeling the weight of loss as a minute by minute reminder. They also did something extraordinary: they grounded my reasons and made me feel loved whenever I was without my children. There’s the nameplate I had for nearly a decade, too. Custom gifts can be inexpensive or extravagant, this depends entirely on the giver. Personally, I lean on the more simple and inexpensive side of things. Here are a few custom things that I hope you and the recipient loves this season.

In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, you can also shop gifts that exclusively give back. Like Coloring Without Borders, a coloring book with 100% of proceeds going to Families Belong Together. In addition or in replacement of any of the above, you can also donate to an organization in honor of your special person! One of my favorite gifts was a letter thanking me for a donation a family member made in my honor.
Any custom gift suggestions of your own? I’d love to hear!
