My original thought for this blog post may have sounded a little more hysterical in my head. I visualized, “The end of the whites!” and imagined myself chucking off my Birkenstocks and running through my closet like a mad woman. And while the end of summer style can cause a tinge of style relief, laziness, or a desire to be a little more creative, nothing about it should be hysterical. Especially, if you’re like me and plan to still wear your favorite (or unworn) white pieces as autumn rolls on….
This linen dress was purchased at a flea market in Berlin, Germany. But if you’re interested here’s how you can re-create this look….

Autumn is already in the air here in Berlin. While I’m looking forward to all the layering possibilities, I still feel myself clinging to Summer and its long days and my easy breezy outfits.
But I do like I how naturally gravitate towards deeper, richer reds and oranges to accessorize with during Autumn.
Ooooh, that eyelet maxi dress is just dreamy. What sort of life could one have where such a thing would be practical? My three dogs would have the lace torn, the white covered in dog hair and paw prints, and whatever pretty might possibly be left I would destroy myself with one spilled drink. But if I ever need a lovely, casual, romantic wedding dress…. That’s it!! Barring that unlikely occasion, I will enjoy my couple sort of still white tees and more days of sunshine in which to wear them.
