A Brooklyn Summer City Guide

We are halfway through summer, with the whirlwind of July slowly getting behind us. August feels so close, a reminder that what we may love the most is often what ends far too soon. Like the first few months of a baby’s life, the thrill of lost teeth, and yes, a city summer.

If you’re visiting New York this summer, or just kicking around and need a few ideas, here’s my Brooklyn Summer City Guide..

  1. Walk  along the Brooklyn Heights Promenade .
  2. For an early day activity, take the ferry to Governors Island
  3. Before retiring for dinner, take a quick evening ride on Jane’s Carousel.
  4. Enjoy some of my favorite pasta at River Deli in a family-friendly environment.

My spring city guide right here.

Oh, River Deli! One of my favorites. The mushroom pappardelle! I dream of it from our new life in California…
