5 Days In Florida (Spring Vacation Photos)

Last week, we spent a few days in Clearwater, Florida for spring break. This was one of the first vacations where we made very little plans, except laying around on the beach and swimming in the pool. I packed my camera to take pictures, but actually ended up only using my iPhone.
Here are a lot of photos of our trip, and a bit of what we did….

On our first full day, we had an all-day play date/ ladies date with my friend, Nicole, and her two little ones. We decided on Clearwater, Florida, because I knew Nicole would be there, and we both knew the kids would love to experience a bit of vacation together. I didn’t tell River until we arrived, so she was surprised and excited to hang with Lucas.

We stayed at the Residence Inn Marriott, which had a view of the coast and was right on the beach. Our room had a balcony and a studio kitchen, so I cooked a bit instead of always going out for meals

That one day hanging with Nicole, had us already planning a week away together this summer with the kids. Maybe something more local in New York. Have you taken a vacation with a friend and their kids?
We spent a lot of time on the beach searching for seashells and making castles. It was so beautiful to see the kids come alive in the water. When we didn’t have buckets and pales, we used a water bottle and Lunchable container we had on us.

Early mornings were a bit chilly, so the kids got to wear their Dear Valentine pieces, from my friend Samantha Pleet. River’s dress spring matched my bathing suit top print, and she couldn’t get over that we were matching!

I got to reread a bit of this book and munched on oranges while Oak napped. Speaking of Oak, I took him on a little solo date for French fries and cherries. He spilled the water, didn’t eat the fries, but ate all the cherries.

I packed a small reusable bag of my things for the trip, and wore the same few outfits a few different ways. My go-tos were Sonnet James pants, a striped shirt (similar), this Doén dress with my new hat.

River’s wet curls (and dry curls) get at my heart.
By far my favorite part of our vacation was watching the sun go down together!

When we weren’t splashing around the beautiful water, one of us was buried in the sand.

Thanks for letting me share! And thank you Florida for being so good for us and to us!

So lovely!! I love the cherry and French fry date with Oak…spilling the water and only eating the fries. Sounds about right! A perfect lunch date. ❤️
