Did you know that socks are the most needed items in a homeless shelter, but rarely donated? To help combat this crisis, my friend Mengly partnered with Safe Horizon’s Harlem location to donate one pair of socks for each pair of socks purchased.
The cool thing about all of this is all the history and passion, Mengly has for the work. She visited the center and really got to know what they’re doing and where their resources are being pulled too tightly. She was drawn to their Street work program, that helps homeless youth ages 13-24 in many areas of their lives. Simple areas we often do or had our parents do for us without a thought.
Linea Germania’s socks are made in Nepal. To top it all off, Mengly will deliver the donated pairs in person right before Christmas!
