Mother’s Day is a little over a week away, and my mind is set on how comfortable I want to be this year. In the past, I’ve taken to floral vintage and sheer something or another, anything that made me feel extra special. This Mother’s Day, I just want to run around with the kids in a simple and comfortable dress.
Here are a few options from Madewell if you’re feeling the same:
The Bellflower Ruffle Dress. It’s casual with a slight men’s style. The ruffles make it a little special. I paired it with mules and a straw bag, but you could easily wear sneakers or sandals.
The Magnolia Tie-Back Dress. This dress is airy and feminine. I wore it with a pair of slides and my favorite sun hat.
And a white dress (no longer available online. similar here) that will eventually become a disaster, of course. And the sandals I am embarrassed to love.
Everything you wear always looks like it was made for you to rock it. I love the first look but my favorite look is the last one. I've always liked the way brown skin looks against white clothing. Beautiful! And Happy early Mother's Day!
I love the first look. I'm from East Africa and the bag you have in the first picture is very much loved here. They are handmade in Kenya. In Uganda, we call them kikuyu bags. They don't wear out easily. I'm surprised to see that they are in the United States as well.
The last one though white is my fav. I use a net bag when I go to whole foods lol I bet the shoe that you are embarrassed about is comfy. I love madewell but I can barely wear their stuff! It looks great on you though.
Looooove that first ruffle dress. So pretty! And the slides in the second look are perfect! Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day, LaTonya!
I love the second dress! I'm looking for something to wear in the final 2 months of pregnancy, and that one looks to have some flexibility during and after. Thanks for sharing these cute dresses. You always look super cool in your outfits, and like you, I am after comfort while also looking cute.
