My Winter Skin| 4 Beauty Products

My skin seems to take a beating every single winter. And this winter with it’s uncharataristic temperatures is no exception. Instead of waiting for spring to repair winter’s damage, I’m taking the dark mornings and slower days as an oppurtunity to put more energy into my beauty routine. While the energy consist of less make-up, it doesn’t mean I feel any less beautiful. I actually feel at my best. Yes, my new pimple scar remains unshielded by glaring eyes, but I don’t mind it a bit.

If you’re interested, here are four products and the four steps I do for my winter make-up free face.

For the past two months I’ve been using Cetaphil Gentle Skin face wash every morning and night. I went from zero-washing products to this and it’s been a great transition. It’s gentle and works well without drying my skin. After using the Cetaphil, I put a few drops of Thayers Witch Hazel and rub it on problem areas, like my cheekbones and forehead.

After the Cetaphil and Witch Hazel, I put a drop of 100% pure Argan Oil on my palms, rub them together, and then give my face a light massage. The oil smells so very good! It also has a unique way of waking me up a little.

The last product that I use is new to me, but it’s surely a favorite. Glossier’s Priming Moisturizer is light and is great to wear as a base before make-up, or when you’re wearing a bare face all day long. I’m kind of obsessed with it right now!

Any winter products you’re loving right now?

Well I am very allergic especially on my face. I use witch hazel.I have wipes and such which is for sensitive skin. I use garnier makeup remover ( water base) to wipe off my lipstick. That's all I wear. I am buying the witch hazel you mentioned. How lovely is your skin?! and the earrings are so my style. Happy Friday!

I use the Whole Foods skin cleanser and lotion. It's very similar to Cetaphil, but even less drying. I've also been enjoying Dessert Essence facial oil. I need to try more Glossier products! I love their eyebrow gel.
