What does one wear the first week of the new year? Well if the first few hours going into it is any indication (eh hem, those pants and those holed boots), then you very well know I didn’t throw on my glittery black and gold dress with the tulle that had been waiting in the closet for me. Instead, I went with what what felt right. Because what felt right was anything that I could physically move furniture in. You know, because on the first day of the year I decided it would be a really good idea to swap our apartment around.
While I’m a little unsure if these looks will inspire you, It’s what I wore. And not only what I wore, but what I felt good wearing. A few grainy self-timer photos coming at you, along with links (or similar items) for the pieces I’m wearing.
Happy Friday!

I love these kinds of posts! And your outfits were all way more inspiring than my first of year outfits have been. It's been positivity frigid where we are so I've been layering what feels like all my clothes just to stay warm. Happy New Year. 💛
I absolutely love the formatting of this post – I really hope you do more! Those Samantha Pleet overalls are a DREAM and I love how you styled them <3

Hey Anne,
today it's so cold in New York as well. Like 8 degrees or something. Ah!
I love your style, hair tips, and the whole blog…a favorite recent post was the one about decorating your house with what you already have instead of buying new things – just what my sad broke self needed to hear 🙂 I think I see you sometimes in the Clinton Hill area but I'm too shy to yell "I love your bloooooogggg!" out the window of my car, so I decided to comment. Please keep up these posts and more!
Love these posts! Yaay!
