At first glance, Petria seems like your ordinary girl; she’s that and so much more. She recently left everything she knew in Ireland to pursue her dreams here in New York. When speaking about this transition, Petria speaks with grace, confidence, and honesty. She’s soft spoken, and quite possibly could rock a baby to sleep in the middle of a busy cafe if she gave it a whirl. Yes, her energy is that soothing. More than that, she’s a mother and a designer, full of creativity and contagious inspiration.
Her namesake line
is composed of a small run of delicious and carefully-made staples, made of Donegal tweed, Irish linen, and Scottish cashmeres. Her small collection embodies impeccable craftsmanship and everything-every. single. piece. begs to be wrapped around my chilly city bones this fall and winter.
A few weeks back, I got to experience the magic of her newest collection. Her creative counterpart and husband, Rich Gilligan
photographed this mini shoot.
Here, are a few images from that day.
I’m modeling the Blue Grey Donegal Coat, The Old Stone Donegal Coat, and the Agate Oversize Cashmere Sweater.
