Drink Good Do Good

Nearly 24 million Americans live in food deserts. Surprisingly, many live in New York City! If you’re unfamiliar with the term food desert, it’s used to describe neighborhoods where access to healthy, fresh, and organic food is non existent. Many families and individuals, often travel outside of their neighborhoods to even obtain a good apple.

Naked Juice and Wholesome Wave are teaming up to combat food deserts with an amazing campaign, that I am honored to be a small part of. A few weeks ago, Naked hosted a delicious lunch at River Park, with ambassador, Adrian Grenier and Wholesome Wave founder, Michel Nischan. We ate, we shopped fresh produce, and discussed a huge issue that needs to be changed, and can be changed with your help!

More info on how you can get involved, below the lunch pictures.

It is one of my greatest honors as a mother, to feed and give my children healthy food. Our local Farmer’s Market is just a few blocks away, and it is our Saturday tradition. Throughout the week, our meals consist of the items I purchase at the market, and I’m so grateful that I don’t have to go far to get them. My kids will grow up with easy access to what they need and love, and I believe, every child should have that right.

Here’s what’s happening; Naked Juice will donate 10lbs of fresh fruit and veggies to Wholesome Waves, every time you post a selfie with a fruit or vegetable on instagram, using the hashtag #drinkgooddogood. Easy right? Naked has reached 30% of their 500,000 lb food goal. Will you join me in helping provide fresh and delicious choices to all Americans?

This post was in partnership with Naked Juice. Thank you for supporting the campaigns and companies I believe in.
