A Mini Facial

The other day I noticed that I was breaking out really bad. See, Oak weaned. He weaned slowly, and my hormones took a good while to adjust. Him choosing to wean was a very hard thing, but it was equally gratifying, for obvious reasons.

But this post isn’t about weaning, it’s about my face. I’ve never really had skin prone to breakouts… until this happened. So I decided to give myself a mini facial. Facials can be expensive. And to be frank, I live in a two bedroom apartment in New York City, we have a car, we pay for school and sitters, we like to go out, so yeah, a facial I would have to pay for is just not my thing. Can someone say pricey?

A few weeks back I was sent the Spin for Perfect Skin spin brush, and it’s changed my life a bit. I’ve included it into my nighttime routine, and really, as a girl who tries to be as easy and as predictable as possible when it comes to beauty needs, it’s changed my world.

Here’s what you’ll need for this Coconut Sugar Scrub:
Organic sugar. (I used a mix of raw sugar too, which I don’t recommend, just because it gets pretty messy)
Coconut Oil
And even though I used a wooden spoon and bowl, I’ve just purchased this to help with future scrubs.

Hi! How did you take off the scrub when you were done? And how long did you leave the coconut oil-sugar scrub on your face?

Hi! I just rinsed it off right after with a rag! Super easy.
