A Brooklyn Tour

I really do love calling Brooklyn home. I was born here and I’ve lived so many of my years here. My time in Brooklyn now is totally different than when I was younger. I’m re-exploring it day after day, with two little ones. And with each day, my eyes open a bit more and my heart falls in love with Brooklyn’s bits in a totally different way each time. I look forward to this. But even more than that, I look forward to one day listening to my children tell tales of growing up in Brooklyn. All the characters they met, the trains they took, the corners and playgrounds that felt like home.

I created a little tour for the lovely ladies of A Beautiful Mess. Brooklyn has so many layers, and as you start to peel one off, you unexpectedly realize that there’s a hundred more layers that need to be taken off. And while you’re there peeling and exploring, 10 more layers get thrown on on top of that hundred. I tried to sift through the layers and round out a few of my favorites as of right now. It was extremely hard, but I am happy with my choices.

Have a great weekend!

I love your post! I used to live on Clinton Ave. off of Myrtle Ave. There is nothing like the community of a Brooklyn neighborhood.
