Brass x LaTonya Yvette

I’m the kind of girl who never shies away from color and patterns. Despite this fact, I know it is essential that my closet is full to the brim with basics. Not just your purchase-on-a-whim basics. Those usually get tossed after just a few wears. I’m talking about the basics that take a little extra thought. Basics like this sweater dress from Brass. It’s extremely comfortable and yet, simple. It’s the perfect addition to my closet. A necessity for sure. I felt ridiculously sexy in this piece too.

Sometimes, as a girl with curves, I find pieces ill-fitting unless they’re super tight. (Tight clothing is also really new to me too. Bohemian/men’s everything.) This dress fit me like a freaking glove, but didn’t leave me feeling too sexy for just a normal day. Not super tight… just tight in all the right places. I love that it’s perfect for this transitional season that will soon be upon us. That weird in-between winter/spring weather. With a few simple accessories and layers, I can really be anyone in this, and that’s what a basic is supposed to be essentially. Something that can change right along with you and your style.

    Cute! I love it with the denim jacket and fluo converse!
    It seems so soft and confortable, and that's one of the most important things 🙂
