New Things

Happy 2015 to you, you, and you too! I’ve missed you terribly.  I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I’ve posted on here! Sorry about that. I took a few days off to move around some stuff on here, and then Peter and I decided to add a new site, which you most likely came from. Before I explain, sorry about basically disappearing. It’s pretty bizarre how a week can turn into two, and two turns into three. I really enjoyed this quiet time with my family, but I’m happy to be back at it.

Now, lets get on with it! So, this blog is now blog.latonyayvette.com, and my official site is now latonyayvette.com. When deciding to change a few things, I considered a lot, but the biggest factor was the future of this blog and my career. Most of you know that I’ve been a stylist for a while now, way before this blog. I had a separate site for a bit there, and eventually took it down. I was blogging and working with the same clients, and a website felt silly. Until it didn’t. Peter and I also started dreaming up some future collaborations which are in the works, and I am so excited about them. When considering the collaborations, having them hosted on the blog just didn’t feel right. Yes, I blog, but like many, that’s not all I do. I needed something else, and that’s where the new site came into play. Right now, latonyayvette.com has just a few things I’ve creatively worked on, and I will be adding more soon in the next few months as we do more creative projects. You will also continually find bigger projects highlighted on here, well organized on there. So if you’re looking for something specific I’ve done with a large brand, you can probably find it under Look Book or Collaborations. I really love the way it turned out. A big thank you to my husband for his help. My friend Nneka took the photos, and my friend Emily created my logo.

If you’ve noticed, I tweaked a few things on here. Nothing too grand, because I do love the layout that I currently have. There is now a FAQ section on the About page, updated pictures, new tabs… and that’s about it. The only big change is the web address.

Thank you guys for always being so supportive. And please bear with me as I add more, tweak a few things, and try to iron out any hiccups along the way. I just wanted to get it up and running.
