Last week, and this past weekend, have been so incredibly rainy. Oak has been sick, so it’s given me yet another excuse to stay indoors. I really love rainy days. I mean, really love them. They usually stop me right in my tracks, and if a playdate, meeting, or appointment is canceled because of it, it’s completely fine with me.

I love the way the rain sounds on our porch during a daytime nap, it puts me to sleep within seconds. I love the way coffee taste so much better on a rainy day. I love the way I find comfort in a chunky sweater, and my hair stays tied and protected in a scarf. I love the way my kids love rainy days too. Longer naps for Oak. Movies for River.
Peter snapped these pictures the other day while we were all cuddling on the couch. I believe it was Monday, I’m not sure how it’s Friday already?! This week has gone by way too fast!

Rainy days are my favorite too. I feel like the rain gives everyone a chance to just slow down for a few moments.
Oak is just so beautiful! The other day I read a quote about rain and I fell in love. I never really liked rain until lately.

i agreed rainy day makes sleep in easier and better!! never try coffee on rainy day though..i will make one on this day.
