Hide Unsightly Twists| Natural Hair Diary

Every time I twist my hair at night I sing Beyonce’s song ” Flawless.” Its kind of a funny joke in our home because I go to sleep and wake up, looking everything but flawless. A lot of that has to do with my nighttime hairstyle. Every night like most natural girls, I twist my hair in a bunch of unsightly twists to keep it from breaking and tangling up at night. The next morning I usually take the twists out or if I plan on having a chill day indoors or around my neighborhood, I try and find a cute style to wear them in. Using a vintage headscarf is an easy way to keep the twists in place all the while adding a bit of cute to the unsightly twist.

I have a few of these twist-hiding styles that I can’t wait to share. Do you have any? Also, do you like my one cat eye? Yeah, I definitely rocked this for an entire day, unbeknowst to me! Hashtag momproblems

You are so cute, LaTonya! I love the scarf style. I had to look at your picture again when you said "and like my one cat eye?" . After I read that, I kind of laughed because I didn't even notice. Girl, you rock the one cat eye though. 😉 and you are flawless. Jealous of your perfect skin. 🙂

Love this look! I have to try it out sometime soon. With this humid Miami weather, it can difficult to wear my hair out too often.

Bahaha I noticed the cat eyes and thought maybe it helped with uneven eyes in photos, I was like "damn, that really does help, I'm gonna try it!"

I love your look – very sassy and sweet! And, the perfect skin – how do you do that?

I have crazy thick curly hair if I let it dry naturally. Most days I blow-dry, straighten, iron it etc. – but it takes sooo much time (I have 2 little kiddos) and is also too hard on my hair. So, some nights I just wash my hair and twist it into a bun to wear to bed. I just need to figure out what to do with the loads of crazy curls I have the next day. 🙂
