Here in the city, the humidity takes over quite quickly during the summer and wearing full makeup just isn’t an option. In addition to the humidity, when you have kids or you are running to work, it’s also hard to put on a full face. With all of this considered, I’ve found that there are just a few items I need to get that same pretty “done up,” easy, summer feeling.
One| A good mascara goes a long way. Even if you choose to ditch the other make up on this list, mascara can create a refreshing look in an instant.
Two| A cheap bronzer can do wonders for a summer face. I found this bronzer at the register at H&M and it’s been doing the trick for me. I place a little on my cheekbones, my chin, and my nose tip to get that “summer glow.”
Three| A bright and/or daring lip. Whenever I need a pick me up I throw on a good lip. This rule can also go for those days that you feel totally sweaty and gross. That sweat turns into shine and that lip shines right along with it. Gross, but true.
Four| My second trick for a full “summer glow” is a gold eyeshadow. I place just a dot in the crease of my eyes and suddenly the heavy bags under my eyes seem non existent, and my eyes have a little sparkle.
