Somedays, sometimes, all the stars align and friends collide and good intentions are brought to your feet. With no rhyme or reason. The days that arrive and shake up your week, or start your week in the best way possible. Not in much of a dramatic way, but, as in such of a you need this, kind of way. And yes, you all are probably quite tired of hearing about what I “need” as a person during my week, but in reality I believe it’s what we all need. We need friends that understand when the pieces fall apart, who understand that birthdays that were missed were just a lapse of memory, and phone calls that were not returned were a lack in free hours in a day. Friends, that you totally click with, as do your kiddos, and the conversations go beyond what you thought you would ever share. But you do share because it feels so darn natural.
I felt as though our quick ride out of the hustle and bustle was actually a mini vacation of some sort. I find myself so grateful for the little things such as these. I made an effort to put my phone away, my thoughts aside, and my emails on hold. Days like that day on long beach is what makes life for me lately. Taking it easy, talking, family, fun… fellowship.
Long Beach will always have my heart.
Dee,
You are always so sweet!! It was the perfect day!
I love the first photo of River, she is so happy to be at the beach!
Gorgeous photos! We love the beach. It's one of my favorite places to be. We live near several and have only been once or twice this year. If the weather holds up, tomorrow will be a beach day.
