When I was growing up Valentine’s day was a day where all of us kids each recieved a gift. Some years we had chocolate, others we would get games, and others sneakers or clothes. It was always a “family love” holiday. With Peter not interested in Valentine’s Day at all ’till he met me, we always try to keep it a simple family holiday as well. He does take me out, but I am not the whole huge bouquet of flowers and fancy dinner kind of girl. We are a pretty date-y couple anyway, so a movie, simple presents, and our babe sound asleep with the sitter will do.
