Father’s Day

After brunch, we boarded the East River Ferry to Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was Peter’s first time. I really do enjoy showing him more and more of NYC.

Goodness, I can’t believe we just finished celebrating Peter’s second father’s day! Time is flying, and we sure are enjoying every minute of it.

I fell in love with Peter the moment he bonded with my nephew at the zoo. It’s something about seeing a guy you really like, with someone you really love, that can make or break a relationship. Needless to say, that day made our relationship. Actually, it was the first night we expressed our love for one another. When I think of how lucky River is to have a papa, who wakes up early every weekday morning to chase her around the house for about 10 minutes after breakfast- to only end up rushing out 30 minutes later, makes my heart melt. Lately, when she’s super upset, and Peter is at work, she will yell  for her “papa” and run into our bedroom hoping to find him napping in the bed. I feel that simple action, that simple desire to receive a love other than mine, is a testament of how strong their bond is. There is no better feeling than seeing him love her and she love him.
